Cabezas Parlantes is a competition for short monologues, born out of the need to explore different ways of creating and collaborating during the COVID 19 era. In its first round more than 200 monologues of 500 words were submitted. The second phase saw the casting, rehearsal and recording of the ten Cabezas Parlantes Finalistas. These include a range of characters, themes, and genres, framed by the pandemic, and with diversity at their core. Developed entirely online, blurring the private and the public, exploring the current isolation and paradoxical sense of community, the Cabezas Parlantes broadcast their messages, hoping that someone is listening.
